Most are now influenced by peers and even the romantic movies one has seen in movie houses or in the comforts of their homes. While some still believed that the person destined for them will just arrive at a right time, others wasted no time and made their own moves in finding a potential partner in life through many ways. Some find the instant attraction with one’s physical attributes such as an attractive set of eyes, gorgeous smile with a sparkling set of teeth, a well built physique, charming looks and many other particular physical qualities one likes. On the other hand, some base their preferences on a person’s behavior and attitudes and a few on hobbies and interests of a person. However, there are still a few individuals who check on the family background and the economic status of a person for practical reasons. However, in spite of these, there are still a lot who follow what their heart truly feels and chooses the person whom they have a very deep connection with.
In these modern times, the common trend for two people to date is through online dating. Regardless of the distance between the two, the technology still gives way and portal in order for one to show the affection for the beloved one. Through online dating, a person gets to post the kind of person one prefers to date and to get to know with. One hits on the person he or she is attracted or interested to and the dating game starts with a knowing each other. One will then engage in an online conversation sharing some personal information about one’s self. If they like the person, they share more stories about their personal life and other details such as hobbies, interests, likes and dislikes. There are even some who even jump into their own game of flirtation, telling lies and good things their chat mate wants to hear. While some are serious and sincere about the things they share online, others are pursuing the other just because they are bored and have nothing to do or wanted favors. Some ended up just being friends, while a few became lovers for real.
A lot of people will actually think that when two people are dating, whether online or not, the two are already into some romantic relationship with each other. Just because these people are dating doesn’t mean that they are already in love with each other, they could still be friends. Others are dating just to give themselves the time to know the other person and in order to determine if being in a relationship with the person can work.
Some people are dating just because one or both parties think that they are a perfect match. When determining if a couple is a perfect match, the opinions vary from one person to the other. There are some people who base their criteria on how the couple look when they are together or when they are doing something together. There are others who base it on the couple’s hobbies and interests and there are even some who base it in many combinations of factors.
Regardless of what the people around the dating couple say, one can never dictate or tell the true feelings they have for each other. The only thing that one can hope for is that the relationship will survive the trials it will face.
